Got some cool textures

Needed some vintage textures for a project and stumbled onto Heritage Type Co. Grabbed a pack, it was pretty easy. Downloaded right away and they looked good in Photoshop. Made my design pop. No complaints, it was a smooth process.

Reliable source for fonts

I've purchased from Heritage Type Co. a few times now. This time, I picked up a 'Retro Fonts' bundle during their holiday promotion. Just like my previous orders, the process was seamless – quick checkout and immediate access to downloads. The quality of the fonts is consistently good, and I appreciate that their licenses are clear for commercial use. It's why I keep coming back when I need specific vintage styles for my graphic design work.

Smooth experience, quality product

I ordered a Desktop License for their 'Victorian Display' font. The ordering process was straightforward; I put it in my cart and checked out in under five minutes. Download links were immediately available after payment, and I had no trouble installing the font on my Mac. It worked perfectly in Adobe Illustrator. The font itself is high quality, with all the characters I expected, and the kerning looks good. I did check their FAQ about commercial use beforehand and it was clear. Delivery was instant since it's a digital product. Overall, a very solid transaction and a great product.

Love these fonts!

Oh my goodness, I just bought the 'Art Nouveau Fonts' collection and it's absolutely gorgeous! The designs are so intricate and unique, exactly what I needed for my latest project. Download was super fast, no issues at all. I will definitely be back for more and have already told my design group about this place. So happy with my purchase!

Good bundle deal

I was looking for some new vintage fonts and found Heritage Type Co. Their font collection deals looked pretty good. I signed up for the newsletter to get 10% off and then bought one of their typeface bundles. Got a lot of fonts for a decent price. Felt like a good value for what I paid.

When do they usually have their big sales? Like Black Friday or end-of-year stuff?

W William Robinson 2 weeks ago
Black Friday and Cyber Monday are definitely big ones for them. Also around the end of the year, they usually have some kind of holiday promotion.

R Robert Evans 2 weeks ago
Yeah, Black Friday is a good bet. Also keep an eye out around World Typography Day, sometimes they do something for that too.

Are these fonts compatible with all Adobe programs like Illustrator and Photoshop? Don't want to buy something I can't use.

M Michelle Phillips 1 month ago
Absolutely, they're standard font files (.otf or .ttf) so they work just like any other font in Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, whatever.

A Anthony Scott 1 month ago
Yeah, definitely. I use them in both all the time. No special steps needed.

Has anyone compared Heritage Type fonts to stuff on Creative Market? Wondering if the quality is really that much better or if it's just hype.

J James Thompson 2 weeks ago
I've bought from both. Heritage Type tends to have a more curated, consistent style, especially for the vintage stuff. Creative Market has a wider variety but can be hit or miss on quality from different designers.

Heritage Type often has more robust character sets and better kerning, especially for their display fonts. For vintage, they're usually top-notch compared to some of the cheaper stuff you find elsewhere.

Anyone know if they do student discounts? I'm trying to get some nice fonts for my portfolio but budget is tight.

L Laura White 2 weeks ago
I've seen them offer student designer discounts sometimes, but it's not always active. Might be worth emailing them or checking around academic seasons.

Yeah, they do. I got one last year. Check their FAQ or promotions page, sometimes it's a special link or code.

How's their refund policy if a font just doesn't work out? Since it's digital I'm always a bit hesitant.

J John 1 month ago
They actually have a pretty clear policy for digital stuff. If there's a technical issue and they can't fix it, they'll refund you. But you can't just return it because you changed your mind, which is fair for digital goods.

I haven't had to refund personally, but I think it's only if there's a problem with the file itself, not just if you don't like it. So make sure you really want it!

Thinking of buying one of their font bundles. Are the licenses for those usually commercial use? I need it for client work.

H Hannah J. 2 weeks ago
Yup, all their standard licenses cover commercial use, even for logos. Just double check the specific bundle description but it should be fine.

Pretty sure they're all commercial, I've used their stuff for client branding projects without any issues. They're good about that.

Is the newsletter signup discount worth it? Like, is it a decent percentage off or just a few bucks?

P Patricia Brown 3 weeks ago
I think it's usually 10% off. Not huge but every little bit helps, especially if you're just getting one font.

A Alex T. 2 weeks ago
yeah, it's 10%. good for a quick discount if you're not waiting for a big sale.

Hey, wondering if anyone's had issues installing their fonts on a Mac? Just got a new MacBook and want to make sure it's smooth sailing.

J Jason N. 2 weeks ago
Nah, it's super easy. Just drag and drop into Font Book, or double click the .otf/.ttf files. Takes like 2 seconds.

E Emily L. 2 weeks ago
Yeah, I've got a Mac and had no problems. They usually give you instructions too in the download, just in case.
